A little bit about my art & inspiration

All my life I've been an observer of the world around me and I'm always learning to see things in a creative and imaginative way. Continually looking for beautiful moments to capture and interpret with paint.
Ever since I was little, I've been strongly drawn to colourful things; be it my Mom's eyeshadow palette or a box of crayons. That's why I love the Vincent Van Gogh quote "Colour in a painting is like enthusiasm in life."
God's creations are my biggest inspiration, therefore my favourite subjects are of nature rather than man-made. A few of my favourite things to paint are trees, bears, horses, and deer.
Watercolour paints are currently my favourite medium. I love the unique characteristics of watercolours and I find them such a joy to work with. I enjoy other mediums as well, but watercolour holds a special place in my heart and I would love to achieve some level of mastery of it in my lifetime.
